Life of a Financial Tombstone



Chance Marketing is a sister company of Midton, that also produces and manufactures acrylic recognitions such as financial tombstones and deal toys.

In May 2019 Chance Marketing had a brand makeover. This involved a refreshed and modernised logo, new website launch and a promotional video that could be sent out to Chance’s customer base.

With some previous video experience, I was tasked with creating the promotional video. I took inspiration from Brother Film Co’s “The Life of a Bolt” video which they produced for Red Bull. It depicted the creation and manufacture of a single bolt for one of their F1 race cars.

Filming took the course of 2 weeks as I followed the manufacture of the financial tombstone I designed through the UK based factory. I captured over 700 clips and 2 hours worth of footage. This was all edited down to two versions of the video – a 2 minute cut and a Director’s cut at 4 and a half minutes.

The 2 minute cut would be distributed in campaign emails and the 4 minute version could be used on the website as it shows extra detail in the processes.
